Tips And Tricks For Perfect Eye Makeup : Knowing Your Eye Shape

Knowing the right shape of your eyes is equally important as finding out the most flattering colors for your eyelids. There are certain effective ways to apply eye shadow according to your eye shape. Here are some tricks and tips to flatter your eye shape with right eye makeup.

Best Eye Makeup For Your Eye Shape

Protruding Eyes

Protruding eyes makes the appearance of projected lids in the eye socket area. Luckily, the swell gives you plenty of lid space to play with. To keep the lid from overpowering your look, apply darker lips all over your eyes because the darker shade recede space and size. Other than this smoky eyes works great with this eye shape. Apply thick liner along your upper lash line to further diminish some the space.

Upturned Eyes

Upturned eyes takes the form of an almond shape with natural lift at the outer corner. The lower lid has more emphasis and looks longer than the top lid. To make perfect balance over the lower and upper portion apply dark shadow or pencil along the outer lower corner to bring down the lifted effect. Whether you are creating a standard smoky eye or a vibrant masterpiece always try to use mirror effect by swiping the colors along the bottom lash line.

Downturned Eyes

those who are having downturned eyes typically shy away from exaggerated flicks as this will highlight their sloped lids. To make this possible try to create two-toned cat-eye. Instead of offsetting the downturned eye, it draws attention to it because it’s contrasting and complementary colors make it more dynamic.

Wide Set Eyes

Eyes that are larger than the eyeball width is wide set eyes. The best thing about the wide set eyes are that they make you look younger!

To create the illusion of closer eyes you need to work hard on your liner application practice. Use some darker eyeliner shades to line the top and bottom lash line. Don’t create a heavy or bulky line all over the lid but instead of that start with a thin line near the tear duct and pull it toward the outer eye and create a thicker line as you pull. Don’t forget to apply mascara to small lashes on your inner eye!

Close Set Eyes

Close set eyes are those in which eye size are less than one eyeball width apart. For such eyes you need to apply a thin line of dark shadow and liner on the lower part of the eye to combat the lifted appearance. Try extra white frosty white or sparkling nude hues. Dab extra mascara or add individual lashes to the outer corner to pull the focus outward.

Deep Set Eyes

Deep set eyes are large and appears deeper into the skull which creates the illusion of a more prominent brow bone. So for such eyes, you need to brighten up the natural shadowing by dusting on a fawn or warm metallic hue on the lid and highlighting under your arches because the ends of your lashes likely graze your lids, so use the waterproof mascara to prevent smudges.
